By Joshua Hoffert
At some point in our prophetic journey we will be confronted with our inability, fallibility, arrogance, weakness, pain, hurt we caused to others, temptation to misuse and abuse our talent and/or influence, as well as a host of other issues. 1 Corinthians 14 admonishes us to “Earnestly desire spiritual gifts, especially that we may prophesy,” but not before instructing us that “without love, we are nothing.” Is it any wonder that in between 1 Corinthians 12 (the 9 manifestations of the Holy Spirit) and 1 Corinthians 14 (how those manifestations would happen) we find 1 Corinthians 13, the love chapter? Perhaps Paul knew some things about the spiritual gifts and the temptation to misuse them.
Thankfully, today we live in an age of grace. But God still listens to and judges the heart. The healthy prophet is found with a healthy heart. The true prophetic individual will have a heart steeped in peace and their life will manifest that peace. They will walk in a lifestyle of impartation, leaving peace with everyone they come in contact with.
Come listen as Joshua Hoffert talks about true spiritual discernment and a healthy prophetic heart.
